Today is the sweet hubby and I's 5 year anniversary. To some that may seem like a lot, to others it seems as though we are just getting started, but we are proud and happy to be celebrating it today either way. Today I just want to remember how thankful I am for the path laid before me and behind me, particularly for my marriage and the steps it took to get here...
We went to high school together.
He was in the marching band.....

I was on the drill team....

We met through some friends...chatted over AIM (does that date me or what??), awkwardly passed each other in the halls, you know the drill. But eventually, by the grace of God, we were able to start a relationship. And however high school-y it began, it blossomed into something beautiful.

We've made it through our share of bad hair days....

And then came college. Through many events and circumstances, we eventually ended up at the same university. We definitely went through the ups and downs of a normal college experience, but I'm so thankful that I got to do it with my best friend at my side.

After graduation (this one's mine).....

We conquered a wedding.....

a honeymoon (that could only be described as heaven on earth)....

first jobs, and second jobs, and third jobs......

We have lived in a few apartments and finally bought our first house....

We have gone on some vacations....

but mostly just done normal life together.....

And then this year, the biggest but most beautiful change of all...

What a 5 years. I'm so blessed, so thankful, and can honestly say still so in love. I'm looking forward to the adventures of the next five years, and I know there will be many. Can't wait to share them with you!! Happy anniversary to my sweet hubby!!
